CONCEPTS
The ideation phase has resulted in three concepts. All are different regarding use and interface. To bring our ideas across to the co-designer, we have made several videos of actors using a fake prototype. Because our co-designer prefers Dutch over English, the videos and some images will be in Dutch as well.
Concept 1: NFC app
With the first concept, we have used the already existing idea of NFC-tags. NFC-tags are small chips that can bring over information when a phone, or other device, scans the tag. The NFC-tags are combined with a calendar app. When there is a task scheduled, the phone starts buzzing. The notification will only stop once you scan the NFC-tag. However, a small reminder stays visible until the user has scanned the tag to imply he has completed the task. The NFC-tags are placed at locations where the user often has tasks. For example at his desk for meetings, or in the kitchen for cooking and doing the dishes.

Concept 2: TaskWatch
With this design a smart watch, or other wearable is combined with an application for a smartphone, tablet or computer. The watch has two buttons, one green and one red, and a screen on which tasks are shown. The watch will vibrate when a task is planned. When the user starts a task, he needs to click the green button, to imply he either starts with the task, or is still busy with it. The phone will buzz every two minutes to remind the user of the taks. When the user is done with this specific task, he must click the red button to stop the periodic reminder.
On the app, the user and caretakers can plan tasks, but also see how he is doing: Has he completed all the tasks? Which task is he working on now? etc.

Concept 3: TaskBracelet
The task bracelet is a simple analog concept with seven switches to represent tasks. At the start of your day you make a list of tasks to do that (part of the) day. This bracelet gives a clear overview of tasks that have and have not been completed and a strong visual reminder. You can reference your task list to see which switch represents which task and flip it when a task is completed.
This concept is appealing because of it not having to charge, not be updated and being a durable product which could be used indefinitely .
For our co-designer however, this would not work as he expressed that it isn’t persuasive enough to make him follow through with his tasks.
